I really think You have a great magazine and I can't wait until the next copy is avaiable. I have been fotunate enough to have met Scott and Sylvia and feel that they are both earnest and genuine in their passion for motorcycling, and have me and spoke with Yank Callaway at several bike events and have found him to be personable and frienly.
I enjoy most all of the articles you publish and my wife and I both use the Whats Happening section a a event reference, I ecspecially enjoy the rde informaton regarding souteast rides and destinations. Plus look forward each month to both to Scott and Sylvias Editorials, as well as the Georgia Insert (nice touch).
You guys keep up the good work, thanks for everything you do.

The East River Mountain Tunnel is a 5,412-foot (1,649 m) vehicular tunnel that carries Interstate 77/US 52 through/under East River Mountain between the communities of Bluefield, West Virginia and Rocky Gap, Virginia. Groundbreaking began on the tunnel on August 12, 1969, and after five years of labor it was opened to the public at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on December 20, 1974. At a cost of $40 million, it was (at the time) the most expensive construction project undertaken by the West Virginia Division of Highways. Because the northern end of the tunnel is in West Virginia, and the southern end is in Virginia, Virginia shared in covering the cost of the project. The state line falls almost exactly across the midpoint of the tunnel, with 51% of the tunnel residing in West Virginia and the remaining 49% on the Virginia side.

I was just at my local Harley shop in Dothan AL and saw the September issue of U.S.RiderNews. I commented to my friends that I had been through that tunnel a few times and while I was looking for the picture credits I realized it was a contest. So this is my answer and I'm pretty sure it's correct. Thanks for the memory of some good riding. Ron

This is the first edition I have read. So far I like what I see as far as reading material. It has a realistic balance between reading material and advertising. I'm not all that keen on the larger format. We're doing the world traveler it's difficult to carry around. Big and Bulky!

My only complaint with/about US Rider News, is, that I have to drive 200 mile round trip to get a copy. From Cookeville to Chattanooga. I get my copy from Thunder Creek Harley Davidson, The problem is I ride a Honda Davidson.

After 40 years of being a passenger I decided to take the safety courses with the Ga. Dept. of Driver Services, you advertise in your paper. That was a year ago and my husband and I have been riding everywhere. Also, as a woman, U.S. Rider News is my favorite paper to read. We live near Street Chrome and go to their block parties and rides. It was there that we meet Scott Cochran at the ride for Nolan. Thanks for all you do for the public.
Hope to see you on the road again.

I have to totally agree with your selections for Bike of the Year, and Value winner. I've ridden both and while they are very different, both exhibit the same attention to detail and quality we've come to expect of the entire Victory line. I started my riding career in 1970 on a Norton Mercury 650 and presently my MKIII Commando shares garage space with a 2006 Kingpin.
Thanks

It has been aptly called the Parthenon of the Old South. Built on the eve of the American Civil War by planter Smith Coffee Daniell, II, the stately Greek Revival mansion survived the war only to be destroyed by an accidental fire in 1890. All that now stands on the site just north of Port Gibson are twenty-three fluted columns crowned with elegant iron Corinthian capitals. The stark beauty of the once grand house echoes the faded glory of the Old South.
You can still see this site now administered by the Mississippi Department of Archives. It offers visitors a rare glimpse back to a time when Cotton was king, and when the storm clouds of war finally engulfed the society and culture of the Old South.

I DEFINITELY ENJOY YOUR NEWSLETTER ESPECIALLY SCOTT & SYLVIA'S COMMENTARYS. I ESPECIALLY ENJOY THE WRITINGS OF FISH AND WOULD LOVE TO ME HIM IN PERSON. HE SOUNDS LIKE HE WOULD BE A GREAT RIDING COMPANION AND ALL AROUND GUY TO TALK TO. I HOWEVER DO NOT ENJOY THE FOUL MOUTH OF JEFF BAHR. IF THAT'S THE BEST WAY HE CAN DO TO GET HIS POINT ACROSS THEN HE SHOULD JUST SHUT UP AND KEEP HIS THOUGHT TO HIMSELF. JUST MY OPINION THAT'S ALL.

Generating content that hits us readers emotionally is probably the hardest thing and yet the most worthwhile. (That is why Sylvia's column at the end is my favorite read each month.) I'd like to read stories about the lives of the people we all meet on the road and at festivales. If I could write, I'd do it myself and send them to you.
By the way, here I give you $20 in Myrtle Beach to become a subscriber and the first thing you do is spend $3 just to mail me a current issue. I am impressed. I feel like I want to ride to Swainsboro and give somebody back the three bucks. How are you going to stay in business if you toss your money around like that? JB

I strongly disagree with the Editor's comments about Abate and children on motorcycles. A child can't say NO to a parent that tells them to climb on a motorcycle. I don't think a child's safety should be ignored if his/her parent lacks the common sense to keep them off a motorcycle until they are about 12 years old.

Mr. Phillips, bashing the AMA will do no good, and while most of what you said might be technically true, there's a lot more under the surface than it appears. You brought up some valid points but had not solution to offer. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem

Hello, I just wish to express that your feature articles in U.S. Rider News has been an asset in my travels along with my Orange color 2004 Harley Davidson 103 Screamin Eagle Electra Glide. I have found great bargains, Safety Tips, Motorcycle events and much more from reading your paper. The articles featured in your Jan. 06 paper are superb and the Cold Weather Tip article by Scott Cochran is what I needed while attending those cold weather benefit rides and more.
All of you do a super job month to month and many of us are very grateful.
Thank You

Not too tough for a guy who has had three tours in NM over 20 years of AD Air Force.
Since changing to US Rider it seems you have been successful in drawing more advertisement. However, that can be a double edged sword in that your articles are getting lost amoung all the advertisements. Just an ole GA boy observation after several months of watching the change.

I enjoy the well written articles that cover a variety of topics. Some of your writers put the reader at the scene.

I just discovered your mag recently, and I think you guys are doing a great job. I like the fact that you do an expose' on a different bike each month, regardless of it's manufacturer. If I win this 100 bucks, It'll go towards the trike I'm trying to save up for--(knee replacements) I'll still ride as long as I can sit up straight!

The cover looks like our Governor's Mansion in Raleigh, and the rider looks like Bryan Hagan a hot builder of bikes and owner of Iron Thunder in Raleigh. Love your magazine!

Really enjoy your magazine down here on the coast. Hard to find though. Guess I will have to subscribe...or you could send me a free issue each month. Really, you can!!!

I picked up a Dixie Rider, because I love anything about bikes and was impressed. I think the name change was good ideal. Some Blacks and riders in other parts of country, would write you off as some southern mag and wouldn't give you another thought. I love Harleys just much as the next guy, but it is a big world of motorcycles out there and Harleys are important part, but not the whole world. So, its good to see variety!

The U.S.Rider News is the best rider and most informative magazine I read. It keeps me updated on current events and also provides me with useful info on motorcycle riding and safety.

So far I like it. I got a copy at Bike's and Trike's in Cookville, TN. Of course, Dixie is in my blood and I hate the name change. And the lack of ladies, but I understand the national coverage and what you need to do. I sure would like to see articles on items for stock bikes rather than the whole world centering on custom bikes. I'm sick of customs. Anyway, I like it so far. One other thing, we all wear sunglasses, goggles, leather, chaps, etc. Maybe some articles about these items, cost, test on them, etc. Just keep up the good work. Mike

I received one of your newsletters years ago when you were handing them out for free. I've stayed with your magazine ever since. I have asked your readers about information on traveling to the Florida Keys and received much appreciated and valuable responses. I used your current events to plan 3 trips to events in North Carolina, Georgia and Florida. All the events were worth the ride. I currently have a subscription and will continue to introduce my fellow northern riders to the adventure of riding the southern part of our great counrty. Thank you for handing me that first Dixie Rider.
Hope to see you on the road down south again!

My husband Tom went to a bike show in Atlanta, Georgia and brought home your magazine. I was quite pleased to see a photo from my home state of South Dakota. Tom had a chance to see it firsthand when we travelled from Tennessee to the Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis a few years ago!

....Great publication. It's a shame you had to change the name, but that is the way it is down in Dixie. Whenever we come up with a great idea or product someone always wants a piece of it. Maybe we just need to keep a small section that is dedicated to our roots. As always Best of Luck and Live to Ride and Ride to Live.

Good rag. I agree completely withg SSG Jack Loken about that phoney Robert D. Raiford. That guy only rides a Harley because he got it for free from a local dealer. (The motorcycle which he bought for himself was not American made, but rather from the folks who brought us Pearl Harbor). I quit listening to John Boy and Billy because I could not stand all of the left wing crap that kept spewing out of his mouth.
