Bills to name Harley-Davidson the official state motorcycle and the microbe Lacto-coccus Lactis (that helps turn milk into cheese) Wisconsin's official microbe will be up for a vote in the Wisconsin Assembly sometime today.
Harley would become the 27th state symbols. There’s been some criticism over the designation of Harley, which is based in Milwaukee.
Noise pollution critics are lobbying against the designation. We wonder if official "state designations) matters anymore because kids are no longer taught civics in grammar or middle school and few school children and almost no adults have any idea what the state motto, state bird or state anything is, without accessing the internet.
Still, it would be fun to be the "official magazine" of Wisconsin. Who do we see about that?
